Finally, we have been there and done that.
Thanks to Naomi's loving grandparents, Pavel, Naomi and me were whisked off one Friday afternoon to Malaysia to visit their 1st International Theme Park - Legoland!
After we picked Naomi up from school, we were all ready to be touristy! As we set off in the afternoon, we only managed to visit the Legoland theme park, and not the Water Park.
Thunderstorms (yes, after a long dry spell... it rains when we decide to go Legoland. What are the odds?!) threatened our little trip, but thankfully the skies cleared up once we were closer.

TADAH! Our little girl is happy and excited.
As it was not technically weekend, the park was relatively empty and we could enjoy our walk around without any crowds, get our tickets and rides without queue, hear the cheery music welcoming us, and the colourful lego artwork in all its wonder!
See some of the awesome lego sculptures below:

And here's one for the family; we haven't had a family photo in oh-so-long!
A family photo of 3 +1 on the way! :)
As Naomi is only 3 1/2, there were not many rides for her, but we tried to encourage her to try as many things as she could. I have mentioned in my previous post that she has a lot of fears, and some of the rides she could actually take are scary for her. Such as this one:
Can you see Papa trying to soothe Naomi while she is trying to hide? This one sorely tested her. Not because of the "high speed"... but because of the water spray on her face! Well, we will work on that water fear and hopefully when she is older, we can come back and she would enjoy it more!
In Junior Driving School, for ages 3-5 years old. See the uneasiness seeping through her expression :P
On another ride, Naomi tries her hand and foot co-ordination in Junior Driving School. She started off enjoying it, then she realised she was heading to a wall. Then any hand-foot co-ordination that there was vanished into thin air.
"It's not moving!"
Use your feet to press the pedal, dear.
"I'm going to hit the wall!"
Turn the wheel with your hands to steer it.
"It's still not moving!"
Press the pedal, and turn the wheel at the same time.
"Nooo, I'm going to hit the wall!"
Repeat from beginning, x 5.
Thanks to the kind and patient assistant at the attraction, Naomi got safely back to the starting point. As we left that ride, she spotted the lego sculptures below and declared:

"This one is better. "- Naomi, 3 1/2.
Stationary, but she could pretend that she was in control and driving everywhere she wanted to go! I couldn't help but giggle and made a mental note to let her know of this story when she decides in future she wants to learn driving. *Mama's evil laughter*
Papa also fulfilled his all time dream of being a captain/ pilot/ just-something-not-in-the-office. Well. Sort of :D

Pilot of Naomi Airlines.
A Fireman! (See Naomi poking out there?)
"Uhh, Papa, are you sure you going the right way?"
A Captain of Naomi's Cruise.

It was a fantastic day for all of us! The rain managed to hold out till when we were leaving. We tried most rides we could (well, mostly Pavel and Naomi), and my parents even tried the ride Lost Kingdom which they claimed was really fun!
In the future along with number 2, we will probably try to go for the Water Park as well. Then again... that's probably in a year's time, at least.
If you've tried their water park and hotel, do let me know how it was for you!
Till our next post!
