Happy Friday!! How's your week? This week, my poor girl is down with the cold, sore eyes and now a sore throat so she's been really cranky. I'm sure parents out there know how it is when your child starts acting up mainly because of discomfort from being ill. While we do cuddle her more since she's not feeling well, there are times when she acts up unreasonably, throwing tantrums and pushing her limits to get what she wants that I will still not give in.
So it has been like a mini war zone at home - battling with the illness, struggling with her over taking medicines, teaching her to keep her toys that are lying like landmines across the whole living area, squeezing out more quality time with her while I work on the site, blog, and also upcoming renovation in our new place, dealing with her more frequent tantrums because she's ill and not giving in (which is a battle in itself), and then in 2 hours after keeping said toys... There they are again, all over the floor, on the sofa, dining table, under the chairs and of course, a couple small ones secretly stashed on my work table.
Amidst all of this, I am still extremely thankful that I am a stay at home mum (SAHM) who can experience all these and watch her grow up, noting her little changes day by day, be there for every milestone in her development, and making memories with her along the way. So here I would like to thank my hubby for allowing me from day 1 to choose being a SAHM and providing and working hard for our family. We love you lots! That being said, I pray she gets well really quickly. Haha!
Now, back to our feature today. As promised, I will showcase a boy character for Fantasy Friday this week. As mentioned in the title of today's post, it's Peter Pan!
As a child, I loved stories about Peter Pan, and he's arguably one of the most memorable boy characters from fairytales. So here's a modern take on our mischievous flying boy who never ages:
To be fair to our Dads too, I have included a modern Peter Pan outfit for you! If green is indeed your colour, you may want to see below for a smart casual look:
As all FF (Fantasy Friday) posts, the outfits here are not from our site Dreams Avenue. Should you like any of the products, please click on the picture to see the product links on Polyvore.
I hope you like our fairytale inspired fashion post today! To end on a happy note, here's a happy quote from Peter Pan:
