Time really flies. I think everybody knows that... especially when you become a parent and see how your child grows so fast you wish sometimes they just stop for a while. Of course, sometimes you wish otherwise - when they are infants you wish they can speak so you understand what they want, or when your hands are tired from carrying you wish they could walk and spare your exhausted arms. Then the time comes when you suddenly realise that all that baby fat is vanishing, along with cute babbly words... You wonder where has all that time gone.

Now when I look at my munchkin, I really just want to smother her with kisses and hugs and ask her not to grow up too fast. I already miss her when she was younger, and she's only 3 1/2! What more when she grows to say her pre-teens and teenage years?? Some say I can just look forward to the 2nd child, but I think it's just different.

Thank goodness for photos and videos where we can still see her younger self in all her chubbiness! It's always funny how she watches some videos with us now and points to herself in the video asking "who's that baby?" and react in half disbelief when we tell her that it's her.

I've also taken to editing photos to capture her growth year by year, as inspired by some pins I saw on Pinterest years back. Here's the first two done for capturing her first and second year of life.
See how much change she has undergone within 1 year! I still can't believe it!
And now for the one I just did for her 3rd year:

This will be something I will do every year of her life, and I will probably print them all and give to her when she reaches 18 or 21, or maybe as a wedding present even. Needless to say, I will also be doing it for my number 2! Let's hope both of them are co-operative for such photos when they are older... :P
