Hi everyone,
As the title suggests, I will be doing a feature on parties, especially kids' birthday parties every Thursday. This has always been one of my favourite topics to read and search for online, and pin on Pinterest. This is even more pronounced as we inch closer to October, my daughter's birth month. My interest has inspired me to start this feature on this blog, where I will showcase a party every Thursday or what I am planning for her upcoming party and other party-related news!
While planning for Naomi's first birthday more than 2 years ago, I stumbled upon this awesome blog called Kara's Party Ideas. From then, this has been the main site I go to for party inspiration besides the always dependable Pinterest for the plethora of pictures for dessert tables, party themes, cakes etc.
I remember this post was the one that got me decided on doing a Sugar, Spice & Everything Nice theme. For the first year, we did go all out, hiring a caterer for food, professionals for the dessert table, a balloon sculptor to entertain the kids and even rented toys. Ouch. Yes, it burnt a hole in our pockets... but we really loved that party!
This week, I will share what what we did for her Sugar & Spice Tea Party. Here are some photos:

Yes, I love DIY!
Yes, I love DIY!
There were some DIY elements in this party like the digital invitation, pompoms and ribbon garland as shown above. I also did a "Happy Birthday" banner for this party which was re-cycled for her 2nd Birthday, a blue Pirate themed party! This, I will share next Thursday.

Naomi's adorable birthday outfit! In keeping with the colours of our theme, she wears a pink sleeveless ruffled top and a blue floral bubble skirt which was bought from Gingersnaps.
Yes, we adore her. Can you tell? Hee. Naomi, if you ever read this in the future, know that Mama and Papa loves you so very much!
We hope you like her party as much as we did! If you have a party you want to share, do drop us an email with photos and send them to us!
Next week, we will be featuring her pirate themed 2nd Birthday!
Till our next post!
